FINALLY!! NEW MUSIC FROM JANELLE MONAE

After teaming with GAP and Coca-Cola, Janelle Monae has now partnered with car maker Kia for their Kia Soul Collective project. Check out the brand-new Monae track "Come Alive" (The War Of The Roses) that the car maker released on a special micro site.

The Kia Soul Collective is a clever advertising platform that features "a hand-selected group of today's hottest artists, thought leaders and influencers" to promote the new Kia soul vehicle. Once again, it underlines how emerging young artists can partner with big brands to give their music away for free. It's a win-win for everyone.

"Come Alive" perfectly shows off Monae's spunky side. It is nothing like the soul-tinged android pop that dominated the singer's debut EP. "Come Alive" is a straight up, classic rock 'n roll gem with Monae grooving and hollering in her own unique way. If you have seen Monae perform live, you know that that Monae is a little firecracker who can set off a tornado on stage. This track provides a glimpse of that. Gotta love this woman.
